Town of Gorham Migration

January 1, 2016

The town of Gorham, New York migrated their hosting service Finger Lakes Web Hosting. The town has selected DSD Web Works to maintain and support the existing site while DSD Web Works is in early states of new site development.

DSD Web Works Internal Year End Audit

DSD Web Works year end audit results that began on December 10 by Allied Financial Partners in Victor New York were reported. DSD Web Works had a very productive 2015 with a year over year growth rate of 35.7%! We welcome our new clients to our family and continue to be humbled by our 90% plus retention rate of existing clients. Many of our original clients continue to call DSD Web Works their primary source for development, support and consultation.

Cornell University Selects DSD Web Works

Cornell University contacted DSD Web Works to inform them that the site redesign for their Harvest New York web site was to be performed by DSD Web Works. The relatively new program has expanded and has a bright future. DSD Web Works is pleased to have been awarded the opportunity to work with the University and Cornell Cooperative Extension directly on the site redesign.

Glenn H. Curtiss Museum Staff Education

This afternoon, staff at Glenn H. Curtiss Museum participated in a introduction, review and real-world examples of interacting with their new custom built content managed system. The new system allows all aspects of their site to be easily modified and altered. This includes all site content and a complete store management system for their e-commerce component.

Cornell Releases Harvest NY Website

Today Cornell University's Harvest NY site was released by DSD Web Works. The new site design is more inline with other Cornell properties offering a more consistent layout and branding across multiple platforms. Harvest New York is a newer Cornell Cooperative Extension initiative whose program is to help stimulate agricultural economic development across the state. DSD Web Works once again enjoyed working with the professional staff at Cornell University.

Nistock Farms Administration Introduction

March 22, 2016

Nistock Farms, a Western New York sheep farm that specializes in the unique Cotswold breed, is participating in a hands-on class to learn the power of their new custom content managed system (CMS). The CMS was built by DSD Web Works and allows for the complete control over site content. Based on a open source solution (LAMP Stack), the application is independent of hardware dependency, user software/operating system and requires no licensing fees. Today will be the first opportunity that Nistock Farm will see the power and simplicity of their new administrative backend.

DSD Web Works Consults with Village of Penn Yan - CPR Program

April 5, 2016

Today the Village of Penn Yan hired DSD Web Works to consult with them on the current status of their Continuing Property Records and Expense Accounting package used by the Village's municipal electric utilities. DSD Web Works will review the current program and recommend best approach on replacing the current system.

The project will begin with conversion of the current CPR data to a usable format for both storage and data transfer.

iFlip Real Estate Consults with DSD Web Works

iFlip Real Estate, a CRM and Business Management solution, used DSD Web Works today in a consultation role to discuss application design and development. In addition, DSD Web Works presented strategic opportunities for marketing the CRM application in the future. Coach and Equipment uses DSD Web Works for ERP Consultation

Today DSD Web Works played an integral role in the new Microsoft AX ERP build-out for Coach and Equipment. Many current systems will be converted to the new ERP system and several web applications developed by DSD Web Works will be integrated with the ERP system for continuous work flow.

Town of Wayne renews Contract

Today DSD Web Works met with Town personnel to discuss future alterations to the Town's web applications and web site. The Town continues to use DSD Web Works moving forward on alterations and enhancements to all current web applications.

Cornell University Job and Internship Opportunities Web Application

August 18, 2016

Cornell awards DSD Web Works contract to custom build job posting application to help recruit both interns and full-time agricultural related personnel to the state. The project will include an administrative interface to allow for authorized Cornell staff to post jobs and internships. In addition, the application will allow for easy review of all application candidates.

The front-end presentation will be presented in a user friendly manner that will organize opportunities within various agricultural categories and counties.

We look forward to building this custom application with Cornell University.

Keuka Lake Association Upgrades Sutron Monitoring Software

August 30, 2016

Today DSD Web Works took the lead on upgrading software for Keuka Lakes monitoring system. The device monitors lake level and lake temperature which in turn feeds the various charts on Keuka Lake Association's web site. The equipment is housed in the Village of Penn Yan's water treatment plant and cooperation between the Village and Keuka Lake Association has been paramount in obtaining and presenting extremely valuable data which is used in regulating gate flow out of the lake.

Nistock Farms - New Site Enhancements

A simple, customized digital survey at the ticket kiosk was suggest. Visit analytics are critical on determining effective marketing strategies. National Soaring Museum Requests Consultation

Today the executive team for the National Soaring Museum asked DSD Web Works for a complete online audit. A review of the current site, CMS platform and possible enhancements were requested. We look forward to developing a business relationship with this exciting new client.

Coach & Equipment ERP Review

October 5, 2016

Today DSD Web Works participated in a planning meeting in regard to integrating the bus parts website into Microsoft AX. Multiple development teams will be involved in this integration that will involve site and database alterations allowing for the site and internal AX protocols to 'talk'. DSD Web Works will work closely with all of those involved to assure a proper, smooth transition.

KWIC Review New Web Site

November 28, 2016

This evening, KWIC board members reviewed visual mock-ups of the new KWIC website. There was a lot of discussion on the need for a new website for both professional presentation and new functionality. The advantage of having a fully custom CMS application to allow independent management of site content was presented as well as the possibility of integrating wastewater maintenance data (e.g. septic and pump tank records) to the general public through the new site.

DSD Web Works looks forward to the possibility of moving forward with the presented ideas.

Glenn H. Curtiss Museum Reviews Guest Capture Application

December 6, 2016

Today the Museum director and representation from the Museum board reviewed the web application to easily query museum guests with a kiosk app designed and created by DSD Web Works. The simple app runs on an Apple iPad and allows for the efficient and non-invasive recording of guest information. The flexible questionnaire is completely controlled by museum staff. Data is collected in real-time as guest enter and complete admission payment.

The demonstration went very well and all involved are excited about implementing the newly created web application.

Town of Wayne End Year Review

December 6, 2016

Today DSD Web Works met with Town officials of the Town of Wayne to discuss the year-end review of their Internet presence and discuss plans for next year. Additions to the current website were discussed and planned for 2017 release. DSD Web Works is again excited to continue the long-standing working relationship with the Town.
